This post is so insightful it’s scary. In it, Jess Connell has written an anti-proverb. It is “…a challenge for us to better understand what a text is saying by carefully thinking through the exact opposite meaning.”
Proverbs 31 is tragically misunderstood in our time. Ms. Connell has carefully written its opposite, not taking the easy shots at our cultural mistakes, but remaining faithful to its meaning, and simply turning it backwards. Read it and be convicted.
