Flurrygeddon

Here is another helpful reminder to live in fear:

Global warming could make blizzards worse

This (opinion) report’s context is that, since you are experiencing Snowmaggedon, you must remember that humans like you have caused the climate to grow warmer, one thing leads to another, and another thing leads to another, and so on, and therefore you will get killer storms. We know how every variable will act upon the all the other variables, and the outcome is certain. Like this storm here, see?

So what do we say now that most of us are waking up to about an inch of snow?

Why do we firmly believe these same people have predicted not only the weather 50 years into the future, but its effect on the planet’s geography, oceanography, agriculture, human health, ETC.  There are vastly more unknowns and variables involved.

“‘ We also know that ocean surface temperatures off the U.S. east coast right now are unusually warm, and there is no doubt that a component of that anomalous warmth is due to human-caused climate change,’ Mann adds.”

The most certainy certain thing here is that climate change is “human-caused.”

My point is that there were too many variables to allow meteorologists to predict what would happen in the next 12 hours.  Are there not many times many more variables involved in predicting climate far into our future?

Of course, the weather spokepersons could have couched the event in all its uncertain nature, giving themselves a lot of wiggle-room…but they chose instead to go right to the panic button.

Preemptively, NJ is under a travel ban. Airports have cancelled most flights. Schools are closed, supermarket shelves bare.

Most areas predicted to see “Snowpocalypse”, Snowmaggedon”  have seen a covering of flurries. I can still see the grass. This is true for most of the region which was predicted to be hit with feet of snow and extreme winds.

It becomes more obvious that hysteria is the real objective.

this is great…. Wouldn’t it be an interesting video project to see, if someone were to go and edit together a compilation of the “(fill in the blank)-pocalypses” and “(insert disaster here)-ageddons” that the media has been blaring at us over the past few years?

It would be hilarious and I would love it, especially with a picture comparison of what really happened. Thanks for visiting, and following!

yeah… It could be called armageddapocalypse-gate. (you gotta have a “gate” in there too, since that is their other beloved, over-used suffix….) 🙂

Kids may have to wear coats in the cold, close the schools!!

How would you like to have a job where there is zero accountability? Hey Mr. Weatherman, would you like to come over and shovel 14 inches of ‘partly cloudy?’

Ya have to laugh I guess MB.
