A few pix from my front porch at about 7:30 this morning.
I don’t have to shovel it, I don’t have to drive in it. I think it’s the stuff I played in on super-special days when I was a kid, living in the moment. A rare and sublime happening.
I think snow is the most beautiful thing that nature makes. It’s special every time. To me, snow is a luxury of luxuries.
I can watch the snow from inside my comfortable home. I can bundle up in cozy clothes and play or walk in it and I have a warm place to retreat to. I can bake cookies and make hot chocolate and light candles. I can watch movies. I can watch my kids build snowmen and snow forts because they’re having a snow day off from college and work.
I am so thankful for the beautiful snow. The home in which we can all dry off and warm up, my husband who works, the job he is blessed to have, my sons who shovel, my sons and daughters who enjoy the snow and go to college and have jobs, the jobs which send them to college.
Our abundance which transforms a harsh and life-threatening weather event into a lovely gift.
oh, so beautiful…. Lately I keep forgetting that most people in the rest of the country are still in winter.
I’ve been able to go outside in T-shirts for like over a month now here in Vegas.

Very pretty with your beautiful photos. A good perspective on the snow although now that I live in the southern U. S. I do not miss the snow, at least not yet, maybe in a few more years…
