I have developed two new cookies. One was created purely by accident. I created the other recipe on purpose, and just plum forgot one of the main ingredients this time. My daughter says this one is better. Sometimes our distracted forgetfulness turns out better than our intended plans. So there’s the life lesson for you.
They are getting rave reviews from my family, so I’m sharing them with you. They are both a variation on the Nestlé’s chocolate chip cookie recipe.
This recipe is a good basic one to fiddle with. I have many times. Today I’ll share my recipe for Spice Cookies with White Chocolate. This is a very sweet spice cookie.
Spice Cookies with White Chocolate
1 cup butter (two sticks), softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
8 to 12 oz. white chocolate chips
Mix. Drop by spoonfuls on a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 until set, or slightly brown at edges.
Enjoy. I’ll be sharing the other recipe soon.
